Introduction of the Institute with the Mission Statement and Object
a. History of Institute, its Logo.
The Institute was stared in the year 1964 at I.T.I. Jorhat as guest ITI and was finally shifted to its permanent site at Borguri, Tinsukia in the year 1969-70.
Industrial Training Institute, Tinsukia is one of the oldest Institute which was started with 8 (eight) trades namely Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, Wireman, Mech. (M.V.), Welder (G&E), Carpenter.
At present the institute having 13 (thirteen) different trades in normal courses. 9 (Nine) of them are NCVT affiliated and 4 (four) are SCVT affiliated. There is provision for reservation of seats as per Govt. rules in force.
Objective:
- To ensure steady flow of skilled workers in different trades in different industry.
- To reduce unemployment among the youths by equipping them for suitable industrial employment- Hunhar se Rozgar tak.
Mission :
To inculcate vocational skills amongst the youths to empower them for gainful employment & thus contributing the skilling of the youths of the country.
